In March between 12 and 15 the VIII Assembly of the Confederation of Family Farmer Expanded Mercosur (COPROFAM) was held.
Over 240 delegates from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay discussed the current situation and identified the major challenges affecting the life and work in the field of family farmers they represent.
The Executive Secretary of the WRF took part in the Assembly during which COPROFAM agreed to became formal partners of the WRF. From now COPROFAM is the American representative on the Board of the WRF.
