The FAO has recognised, through a dedicated publication, the value of the collaborative relationship it maintains with the WRF towards the development of specific public policies for family farming that strengthen sustainable agriculture and food systems, food security and promote rural development.
The publication underlines that both organisations work together in the stimulation of policy dialogue; the opening and strengthening of spaces for inclusive policy dialogue – with special attention to the participation of farmers’ organisations -, the development of policies and investments in family farming, in awareness raising and advocacy activities and in technical assistance for the design and implementation of policies.
